Simona originally trained as a fine art painter at The National University of Arts, Bucharest. Following her graduation and subsequent successful exhibitions of her work in Paris and Milan, she was recruited into the world of colour correction and creating beautiful imagery for the screen.

The application of her aesthetic intuition and artistically trained eye, married with her extensive knowledge of film, has led to Simona’s outstanding international reputation as a leading exponent of her craft. Simona’s career has seen her working freelance and for some of the industries most respected post production facilities; collaborating with clients from all over the world, from New York to London, Tokyo and Mumbai. Colour grading a diverse catalogue of films, music videos and advertising campaigns for internationally renowned brands.

Settled in London for the past 15 years, Simona is currently Head of Colour, at creative studio Coffee & TV - a collective of exceptional image makers; consisting of VFX, CG and motion graphic artists. They work closely with clients to create remarkable imagery, for a wide range of projects. 

Simona has won numerous colour grading awards and is recognised as one of the Top-Ten Colourists in the UK by Televisual magazine. Her breadth of knowledge and experience has seen Simona regularly participate on panels at industry events and join film craft juries for awards such as D&AD, Creative Circle, UK Music Video Awards, Kinsale Sharks and the British Arrows.

With a fully equipped remote studio, utilising DaVinci Resolve, Simona is able host virtual colour grading sessions with you, wherever in the world you may be located.
